My wife is eight months pregnant, when she was in the fifth hit by flu, respiratory disorder and coughing , when she consulted her doctor, he advised her to take a medicine named avipect syrub.
Later i have read that this medicine is porhibted for pregnants, my question is ” will this medicine have any effect on the fetus? ”

Fetotoxicity and skeletal abnormalities have been
reported in animal experiments. This can't be said conclusively regarding its side effects on foetus. Keep a watch on foetal development regularly through ultrasound.
