I am a female in my early 20s. This morning I notice there is a white bump (surrounded by many red lines) on my eyeball next to my iris. It feels painful when i blink. But there is no discharge and no itchiness. My eyesight is alright. I am a contact lens user but I did not wear them frequently except going to classes in university. Is it something really serious?? I am not sure what is going on with my eye. Thanks!

Most likely, it is Teridium – a harmless outgrowth in eye. If it is causing irritation, you may use artificial tears. Get it checked by an eye specialist doctor, and if confirmed, surgery remains the only option to remove it.
