Hello, my daughter 4M old, has blood tested for APTT, APTT is 99.1 seconds & APTT Control is 34.0 Seconds. What does it mean? is it any serious concern?

APTT test characterises the clotting time of blood after injury. Blood clotting depends upon several factor. Absence or deficiency of any of those factors could cause the delay in blood clotting and increased APTT. This may be genetic or acquired. The case of course need further evaluation to find out the exact reason for high APTT. And, yes ! High APTT could prove dangerous in case of injury, as this will cause excessive blood loss.
