i am a 29 yr old female. i started my period when i was 11yrs old. for yrs it was normal i had no cramps bloating and it only lasted 5 days. and was light. this year though my periods have gotten heavier and lasts 9 to 10 days and my pelvic hurts where all i want to do is sleep. my mother had uterine cancer and had a hysterectomy at age 32. she suggested i make an appointment to see a gynocologist asap. so im just getting a second opinion but im tired of my period lasting 9 to 10 days and being a lot heavier than im used to.

The most probable reason for this change in the period is hormonal imbalance. Please consult a gynaecologist and get an ultrasonography and hormone tests done. Although, just heavy periods can’t be concluded to be the symptom of any serious concern like cancer, still its better to get the thing properly investigated.
